Our Vicar

The Rev. Philip W. Stowell was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Connecticut in 1970.    Since then

he has served parishes in Connecticut, Maryland, Arizona, New York, and New Jersey. He retired from the full-time ministry in October of 2015, after serving as Rector of Trinity Church, Moorestown, NJ,  for twenty years. He and his wife, Susan, then moved to San Tan Valley. A graduate of Princeton University (Class of 1967) with an AB degree in Classics, he holds an MDiv degree (cum laude) from The Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass. Currently he is the Chaplain to the Queen Creek Fire Department, having served as a volunteer firefighter and chaplain to the Moorestown, New Jersey Fire Department, and Burlington County Firefighters Association.  Father Stowell is also the Chaplain to both the Coolidge Fire Department and the Coolidge Police Department.
